We have an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic and highly motivated Nursing Assistants to join the Research and Development Directorate Team at University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM) - to support a wide range of clinical studies.
Main duties of the job
The key roles require the individual to have excellent communication skills at all levels; are confident working in partnerships and on their own, developing relationships and working as part of a team within the research environment. You need to have a positive attitude and to help develop an effective research culture within UHNM
The role consists of screening clinics for eligible participants, recruitment, consent, assessment, data collection, follow-ups, preparation, storage of samples and other clinical duties as required.
You will be responsible for ensuring that clinical trials are run in accordance with ICH-GCP and other regulatory standards.

- NVQ2 or prepared to work towards a 3 or relevant work experience
- Trained in ICH/GCP
- Working with the NHS or another large organisation for a minimum of 1 year
- working flexibly and within a multi-disciplinary team
- Competence in handling data and databases
- Competence in handling advanced data software packages and web based information systems
