Job overview
An opportunity has arisen for Band 5 staff nurses on ward 111, a fast paced, refurbished unit specialising in Plastics, Max Fax, Breast surgery and ENT including Tracheostomy and Laryngectomy care offering a wealth of learning opportunities. However, we also care for patients with other varying surgical conditions.
The ward can offer an l induction package with a supernumerary period. Training and competencies within the specialities and on-going support and professional development. In line with service development ward 111 works within the 12 hour shift pattern but can offer flexibility of any applicant that feels the 12 hour is not suitable.
The ideal candidate will have enthusiasm to work within a motivated team to provide high quality care through evidence based practice and innovation. The candidate is preferred to have surgical experience and basic computer skills along with excellent communication skills; experience in tracheostomy care is also desirable but not essential.
