An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Pathology Department. We are looking to recruit a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) Clerk within the Histology Office.

The University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM) is one of the largest and most modern in the country. We serve around three million people and are highly regarded for our facilities, teaching and research. The Trust has around 1,450 inpatient beds across sites in Stoke-on-Trent and County. Our 11,700 strong workforce provides emergency treatment, planned operations and medical care from the Royal Stoke University Hospital (RSUH) and County Hospital at Stafford. Our mission is to provide the very best healthcare and recruit the best people.


Main duties of the job

The post holder is required to prepare materials for Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings and provide secretarial support to the Histology secretariat.  The post holder will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and will be able to work in a busy environment and have the ability to prioritise their workload.

Following an NHSI initiative to establish 29 Pathology networks across England the University Hospital of North Midlands is currently working closely with Mid and East Cheshire NHS Trusts to establish a Pathology network across Staffordshire and Cheshire.
The post holder is required to prepare materials for Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings and provide secretarial support to the Histology secretariat. The post holder will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and will be able to work in a busy environment and have the ability to prioritise their workload.

Education and Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • 2 GCSE's at grade C or above (or equivalent) in Maths and English
Desirable criteria
  • Qualifications in Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience in clinical administrative support
  • Experience of computerised/manual filing systems
Desirable criteria
  • Previous NHS experience
