The post holder is responsible for the application of the highest professional standards in the performance of their duties in their area of responsibility.
The post-holder will be responsible for the overall management and performance of sections within their areas of responsibility. This will include ensuring that they run as efficiently and effectively as possible maintaining the highest and up to date technical standards and ensuring that a high level of customer service is delivered to the Trust at all times.
The post holder will be required to support reviews of financial systems, financial controls and processes by internal and external audit and act on their recommendations.
To ensure that systems and processes within areas of responsibility contribute to the delivery of an efficient and effective service appropriate for the Trust’s needs and help to assist in delivering the Trust’s strategic objectives whilst ensuring Standing Financial Instructions, best accounting practice and other statutory legislation is adhered to at all times.
Main duties of the job
Reconciliation of payroll salary deductions and prepares documentation for payment to be made to appropriate bodies.
Administration of salary deductions and salary sacrifice schemes.
Provide support for the preparation of the Trusts bank reconciliation and other balance sheet reconciliations as appropriate
Administration and reconciliation of Trusts petty cash floats
Losses and special payments support
