Job overview

Acute Rehabilitation and Trauma Unit (ARTU)

Trauma……..who cares – we do!

Do you have an interest in traumatic injuries? Would you like to be involved in the unique combination of major trauma and rehabilitation care? Could you work alongside an innovative multidisciplinary team?

We have a very exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Registered Nurse to join our team. We can offer you a warm welcome to our Acute rehabilitation and trauma unit (ARTU).

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will have good communication skills. We are looking for a committed team player who has high standards and is passionate about improving the patient experience.

(ARTU is a 26 bedded ground breaking new unit, caring for acute patients stepping down from intensive care, or straight from theatres or A&E, requiring support to achieve their maximum potential for physical, cognitive, social and psychological function. ARTU is one of the first 'hyper-acute specialised rehabilitation" units to be developed within a Major Trauma centre. The ward based multidisciplinary team will care for patients requiring specialised rehabilitation following severe head trauma, complex spinal injuries, polytrauma and other acquired brain injury.)

ARTU needs you. If you think you are ready to work in acute trauma and rehabilitation, then we would like to hear from you.
