There has never been a more exciting time to join our NIV Critical Care & Regional Weaning Centre here at UHNM.

We are an Internationally recognised tertiary centre based here in the midlands for NIV & complex Tracheostomy weaning, taking referrals nationally from other acute Trusts & critical care facilities. We provide an on-going domiciliary NIV service with Clinical Nurse Specialist expertise & a 24hour helpline with technical support when patients need us most. We pride ourselves on providing comprehensive education, training & support in all aspects of NIV & tracheostomy care to our patients & their carers to enable safe, but independent living. We provide an invaluable In-Reach service Trust wide for patients requiring assessment, initiation of NIV, or supportive care, enabling timely & correct intervention when the patient needs it.

Main duties of the job

We are predominantly a Nurse Led unit specialising in Non Invasive Ventilation (NIV) and Tracheostomy Weaning, based within an acute care respiratory unit.

We have recently expanded our service to meet capacity demand for specialist critical care requirement and we are looking for enthusiastic, pro-active band 5 nurses with a passion for respiratory nursing and NIV to join our friendly and diverse team. You do not need to have prior experience but an enthusiasm to develop is essential.
