Job overview

The Royal Stoke Emergency Departments is going through an exciting period of positive development and change at the moment: we are looking for motivated, enthusiastic and innovative band 5 nurses to join our ED team. We have a workforce model focused on providing safe and effective patient care, leadership and development of the nursing team. You will be offered excellent training and support.

Full and part time hours are available, you will be required to work an internal rotation pattern covering day and night shifts over 7 days including weekends and public holidays

The University Hospital would be happy to support potential candidates to work a paid clinical shift within the Emergency Department on a supernumerary basis. Main duties of the job

In this post you will be responsible for providing on going care of patients and providing an effective care pathway within the Emergency department. We are committed to developing a culture in line with our values that improves quality and enhances the patient experience and you will play a vital part in developing new ways of working to achieve this goal.

Candidates will be a first level adult or mental health registered nurse and we would welcome newly qualified applicants who would be supported through their preceptorship or any students that qualify within the next 4 months.. You must be flexible to the demands of the service and be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. Excellent communication skills are essential for this post.

  • Has experience as a student or registered nurse in an Acute hospital setting.
  • Experience in ANTT.
