Job overview

The post holder will be required to predominately supervise and manage the outpatient Administrators and the Band 3 Supervisor. The post holder will also support the Outpatient Directorate in achieving NHS national targets and any internal keep performance indicators. 

The post holder will deal with queries from patients and staff and promote the importance of accurate and up to date patient demographics and data quality in Care flow.

  • Communicate work procedures within the team to ensure that the needs of the service have been met.
  • To manage staff in accordance to Trust policies.
  • Staff PDR’s, EASY and Kronos
  • Ensure there is a communication process in place to escalate all training developments to the outpatient teams.
  • BI reports on Utilisation

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

  • Communicate work procedures within the team to ensure that the needs of the service have been met.
  • To manage staff in accordance to Trust policies.
  • Staff PDR’s, EASY and Kronos, BI Reports
  • Ensure there is a communication process in place to escalate all training developments to the outpatient teams.
  • Supervise any trainees, ensuring that process and procedure are not compromised due to inadequate training
  • Identify any training that needs to take place due to patient standards not being adhered to or due to complaints.
  • Able to manage frequently changing operational requirements.
  • To take responsibility for any patient issues ensuring that all staff do the same.
  • To be responsible for sharing examples of good practice and help set up new administration systems if required to improve patient experience.
  • Implement policies and propose changes to practices, procedures in own work area.

Experience

Essential criteria
  • NHS Clerical Experience
  • Supervisor or Managerial Experience
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of Hospital Systems, and the BI report

Qualifications

  • GCSE's Grades / Excel, Word /Hospital Courses
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ and or A levels
