Job overview

The Acute Medicine directorate are looking for motivated, enthusiastic and innovative band 5 nurses to join our Acute medical team on the SDEC units AEC and AMRAU.  AMRAU and AEC are part of the Acute Medical team and we have a workforce model focused on providing safe and effective patient care, and leadership and development of the nursing team. You will be offered excellent training and support.

In this post you will be responsible for the initial assessment of patients, and providing an effective care pathway within the SDEC units. We are committed to developing a culture in line with our values that improves quality and enhances the patient experience, and you will play a vital part in developing new ways of working to achieve this goal.

Main duties of the job

Candidates will be a first level registered nurse. You must be flexible to the demands of the service and be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. Excellent communication skills are essential for this post.
Hours:

Full time over 7 day period including bank holidays, 12 hour shifts, long day (07.00-19.30), late long day (09.30-22.00) and twilight (11.30-00.00).

Part-time / half days will be considered.
